this bodywork requires access to the skin in various areas of the body.
men should wear boxers or briefs. spandex shorts or underwear make it very difficult to do some work and may result in fewer therapy options during your session.
women should wear modest underwear and traditional bra or a two piece bathing suit. a one piece bathing suit will prevent many avenues of treatment. sports bras and spandex shorts reduce options for therapy.
-
this should be a given but i’ve had to decline clients who have come in sweating from working out, dirty from work, or presenting intense body odor. please make sure you are clean and showered before you arrive.
-
please don’t come too early. 5 minutes before your session is perfect.

this is a very small clinic. there is not enough room to accommodate more than therapist and client. the waiting room is very small with only one chair. in addition to this we do not allow an audience of any size to observe therapeutic sessions.
if you are being dropped off please make sure your ride know to be back to pick you up promptly as there is no extra space around the clinic for waiting. the waiting room will be occupied by the end of your session with the next client.
the clinic is not able to accommodate small children waiting during your session. please make arrangements before your session enabling you to make your session alone.
the only exception to this is if the person receiving therapy is under 18 years old. in such a case they must be accompanied by a guardian.

im sorry no. we are simply too busy to carve out of our regularly scheduled sessions consultation visits. upon talking with a potential new client on the phone we do our best to ascertain their needs to see if we can address their needs. it is very rare that a potential new client comes in for their first appointment

in the past you offered “series work”. do you still offer this?
no im sorry. series work adds an additional layer of labor and effort that has become more difficult for me as I have gotten older.
-
the therapy can be uncomfortable. clients are encouraged to communicate with the therapist how they are feeling during session to prevent undue discomfort.
policies
ravel therapy is a closed clientele*. this means that we are not taking new clients at this time as we are often booked to capacity and simply can’t cater to more clients without compromising quality.
this being said from time to time existing clients may move on for one reason or another possibly opening availability. you may send us a request for a phone to see if we can currently accommodate a new client. please note there are no guarantees.
cancelations: we understand life happens but we also need to keep firm control of our appointments. at times in the past some clients would book multiple sessions with the intent to use them as placeholders to ensure they could get in if they needed to and simply cancel if they didn’t need to get in. other over enthusiastic clients would book with the intent of making all appointments only to realize they booked more than they could afford financially or with their time. and yet others would book an appointment with us without first consulting their existing schedule to see if they already have a prior engagement at that particular date and time. any such booking conduct prevents other reliable clients from being able to have more options for future bookings.
an AI watches over how many bookings and cancellations each client makes. excessive cancellations can automatically result in denial of future sessions, cancellation of future sessions, or outright banning. for the most part our existing clientele takes their relationship with ravel therapy seriously and rarely do we have problems. but over the years we’ve learned and adapted so we can cater to our best clients. those that take their sessions seriously and appreciate the therapy.
examples: many of our clients have weekly, bi weekly, or monthly standing appointments and are consistent making their appointments. the scheduling AI sees this and in the event one of these consistently reliable clients must cancel, even at the last minute, I won’t hold it against them. compare that to someone who is new, books 4 sessions and cancels the second one a couple of days before the appointment. they already have a 50% cancelation rate. so the AI takes each individual clients behavior into account. there is not one written policy. the AI takes into account many factors and decides which clients have the most options. those who demonstrate a reliable consistency have greatest access to our schedule and have the option to refer friends and family, though nobody is guaranteed to become a client.
we apologize for the long explanation of policy, but it is necessary that this is spelled out on the website although we know most won’t read it all.
*current client is defined as one who has recieved our services within the past 6 months
